Sales Rep

American Renewable Energy (A.R.E) is one of the leaders in the solar energy industry in the Northeast Region specializing the residential and commercial market. We are a SunPower dealer and have the most efficient solar panels with the best warranties in the industry. We provide our customers with “state of the art” equipment and design through our dedicated staff of engineers, project managers, ultimately providing a turnkey solution for our valued customers.

We are currently looking for experienced sales people who know how to create proposals for solar PV for both the residential and commercial markets in NJ, NY and PA. You must have the ability to close sales, provide excellent customer service, and be a self motivated and focused individual.

The ideal qualified candidate will be responsible for the following:

1. Generate leads and follow up on company generated leads
2. Recommend and produce solar PV quotations after qualifying leads
3. Ability to complete roof measurements and basic design of a solar PV array for each client. (A plus, otherwise must learn).
4. Visit clients in person, to review quotations and close business with signed contracts and payment
5. Network in community through attending events, such as tradeshows, festivals, joining the Chamber of Commerce in your area, and hold local seminars.

Basic Qualifications include:

1. Two-three years of outside sales experience. (Construction background, or technical background a plus)
2. Ability to learn technical products a must
3. Excellent verbal and written skills important to communicate effectively with clients
4. Possess strong organizational skills, with ability to multi-task
5. Strong interpersonal skills important
6. Ability to work within customer’s budget and explain financing options
7. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and a problem solver
8. Must be able to use Microsoft Office – Word, Excel
9. Must have clean driving record

Compensation: Commission based, with lucrative bonus structure.

Administrative Assistant

• Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
• Operate typing, adding, calculating, or billing machines.
• Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices, recording amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
• Review documents such as purchase orders, sales tickets, charge slips, or hospital records to compute fees and charges due.
• Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data and keeping other records concerning costs of goods and services and the shipment of goods.
• Keep records of invoices and support documents.
• Resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
• Type billing documents, shipping labels, credit memorandums, and credit forms, using typewriters or computers.
• Contact customers to obtain or relay account information.
• Compute credit terms, discounts, shipment charges, and rates for goods and services to complete billing documents.
• Support other office tasks

PV Solar System Design Internship

CAD drawings and sheet set preparation.
1. Design PV module layout for residential and commercial PV system installation.
2. Conduct regular CAD design activity in AutoCAD for design verification, improvement and sign-off of customer’s system designs for specific applications under the direction of the systems engineer.
3. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED MAJOR: Structure/ Electrical Engineer
